Abstract

The distribution of a very rare species Pulsatilla vernalis (L.) Mill. is reviewed both in the Polish and Slovak Tatras, and presented on the map. The information on then orographic, edaphic and phytocoenotic factors is provided. The size of populations and the threat to their localities is assessed.
