Abstract

In this study we examined the relationship between economical factors, geopolitical data, regional demography and nature protection structure. The main part of the thesis consists of regional analysis using a geographic information system (GIS) and the creation of a complex matrix and consequential matrix analysis using principal component analysis. By carefully combining and evaluating the connection between these variables, we are able to identify tendencies that give us a hint of he overall development in the region. Population migration as the most visible aspect concerning this could have a serious effect on the sustainable development of the region.
